A Short Version of My Story
Why I created Renaissance Hub — and why it matters to me.
My name is Diego Santiago-Alarcon.
I’m a scientist, educator, creator — and the father of a wonderful boy who has transformed my life in ways I’m still learning to describe.
I’ve always been someone who loved many things: biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, spirituality, writing, storytelling.
But for much of my career, I felt pressured to “pick one.” To be simpler. More specialized. Less… me.
Then my son was born — and he taught me something extraordinary. He reminded me that curiosity is our first language, the one we speak before we ever learn fear or limitations. Watching him explore the world with delight and honesty made me realize that interdisciplinary thinking is not a luxury — it’s our natural state.
Renaissance Hub is my response to that realization.
It’s a place where I help others rediscover the joy, confidence, and creativity that comes from thinking widely and living fully.
A place where science meets humanity.
Where ideas connect.
Where you can breathe.
Wherever you are on your journey — overwhelmed, curious, hopeful, uncertain — I’m grateful that you’re here.

Una versión corta de mi historia
Por qué creé Renaissance Hub — y por qué es importante para mí.
Mi nombre es Diego Santiago-Alarcon. Soy científico, educador, creador… y padre de un maravilloso niño que ha transformado mi vida de maneras que todavía estoy aprendiendo a describir.
Siempre he sido alguien que ama muchas cosas: biología, física, química, informática, espiritualidad, escritura, narración de historias. Pero durante gran parte de mi carrera sentí la presión de “elegir una sola”. De ser más sencillo. Más especializado. Menos… yo.
Entonces nació mi hijo — y él me enseñó algo extraordinario. Me recordó que la curiosidad es nuestro primer lenguaje, el que hablamos antes de aprender el miedo o las limitaciones. Verlo explorar el mundo con alegría y honestidad me hizo darme cuenta de que el pensamiento interdisciplinario no es un lujo: es nuestro estado natural.
Renaissance Hub es mi respuesta a esa revelación.
Es un lugar donde ayudo a otros a redescubrir la alegría, la confianza y la creatividad que nacen de pensar en grande y vivir a plenitud.
Un lugar donde la ciencia se encuentra con la humanidad.
Donde las ideas se conectan.
Donde por fin puedes respirar.
